Meeting: PIC/S Expert Circle on APIs, 3-5 Dec. 2008, Basel
During the next API PIC/S Expert Circle meeting at Basle, Dr. Stefan Kettelhoit managing director of blue inspection body GmbH, will report about accredited API audits for pharmaceutical customers. For this meeting of the "Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme", in short PIC/S, early December representatives of 34 international health authorities, of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM) are expected.
Through the Expert Circle meetings, the agency representatives will exchange information and experiences, will train their GMP inspectors and intend to improve the co-operation in the field of CMP compliance. Aim of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention (PIC), which forms the basis for PIC/S, is the mutual recognition of GMP inspections and the harmonization of GMP requirements and conduct of inspections. The PIC/S Expert Circle on APIs participation is only possible for authority representatives.
